Finally a Win!

At long last, Henry's team had a win. Unfortunately, my camera went on the fritz at half-time (it's getting old...still takes good pictures, but occasionally just won't work). So I have a couple of shots, but nothing of the post-game excitement.

These two pictures are a little funny...one where he looks like he's floating and the other where he's leaping over his fallen teammate.

Volleyball

Siobhan played her final game of the season today. I was happy to be able to make it...all of her games were after school during the week...not so convenient for working parents!
She did a good job, hitting the ball and cheering on her team-mates. Next sport: swim team!

Football Sunday

Captains onto the field for the coin toss.

Henry and Brandon downing the ball.

Henry is at the bottom of this pile. You can just see his baseball-socked leg sticking out on the left.

Henry's tackle caused a fumble. You can see a Teaneck player behind Henry recovering the ball.

Happy Birthday Mr. Hawkins

Today is Dwight's 41st Birthday. We had a family dinner at home. The theme was "Favorite Things" (Dwight's, of course). Included in his faves: apple pie, incense, fancy soap, tulip bulbs, fresh roses, 15 year old scotch, gummies, knee socks, hawaiian sea salt, pumpkin seeds and a farting birthday card!
Now the old guy is sleeping on the couch with the TV on.

Serve-A-Thon

Siobhan's Volleyball team had a fund-raiser this morning. Siobhan made 52 out of 100 attempted serves. A few photos...

Sugar the Lizard Fighter

She's a fierce stuffed lizard fighting machine!

Tough Game

The boys played their hearts out this week, but still ended up on the losing side of the final score. Henry had three...yes, three sacks. Usually, he's satisfied with his own performance even if they lose the game, but this week he was pretty discouraged. Dwight tried to console him without much success. Then the head coach gave them a very stern lecture and not much encouragement. No happy post-game pictures this week.
