Football Season Begins!

Dwight is very excited about the start of the '08 football season. He's so enthusiastic that he decided to 'suit up' the dogs today. Rumbles and Punch weren't quite so thrilled.

August at the Beach

I love living near the ocean. The Atlantic beaches are not as dramatic as the Northern California beaches, but they are still beautiful...I've finally adapted to the fact that the sun sets behind you at the Atlantic beaches. Maybe one of these days I'll see the sun RISE over the Atlantic. Ha!

Then and Now

The Path

The path is complete...edged with bricks, filled with seed starter soil and seeds. We're just waiting for the grass to grow...



We'll see how everything we planted this summer makes it through the first winter. Then next summer, we'll start filling it. Goal is to have all of the ground covered (here's my inspiration photo).

The hibiscus are doing really well. There are four of them along the fence (to the left of rumbles in above photo).
