Last weekend, it was finally sunny enough for a beach trip. The kids and I battled traffic to Long Branch, only to get there and realize it was much too windy for a good beach day. The kids tried valiantly to boogie board, but the waves were too fast and the wind was blowing sand everywhere, so we couldn't even relax on the beach. We stayed for about an hour and then packed up and headed back home. We'll try again next weekend.

I remember a windy day on the beach with Siobhan with Paul Moe, Brent and Carol when they moved me out to CA. The wind blew sand onto her sandwich so she asked to switch sandwiches with me (of course I did). She thought she was so clever !
