Going to the Finals!

Last night, the Blue Claws scrambled to victory over the #1 team to earn a spot in Saturday's championship game! Final score Blue Claws 7 - Scrappers 2.

Playoffs, Game 1: Blue Claws 13, Lookouts 7

After a stressful morning of calling players to beg/demand that they show up for the 2nd half of the game, Dwight led his little team to victory!

Playoffs, Game 1 -- Blue Claws vs. Lookouts

Dwight and Henry's team played the Lookouts in the first round on this drizzly Saturday morning. At the bottom of the third inning, with one out, the Blue Claws were up 6-2. But then the rain finally poured down. The ump delayed the game, but with the field getting more and more wet, he eventually had to postpone it. So they'll play again tomorrow afternoon, picking up where they left off. Hopefully, they can keep up the high energy and great momentum that they had going today.

Because of the rain, I only took a few photos and a little video. The video is fuzzy, but I'm going to post it anyway...because Henry gets a double with bases loaded for 3 runs batted in.

Catching.

A rare glimpse of Henry's face in his catcher's gear.

Happy Coach Dwight.

Fuzzy video of Henry hitting a double with bases loaded. Notice his unusual batting stance? Here's a photo of the same posture...in 2nd grade.

Sugar Cookie has managed to make friends with Lily Pearl. Lily especially likes to play hide and seek. And then when Sugar finds her, Lily bats her in the nose. What a fun game!

where's the kitty?

oh! there she is.

Siobhan Singing!

Siobhan's Arts Academy Choir performed their Spring concert on Thursday night. There are three choirs...the Mixed Chorus, Concert Choir and the Madrigals. Siobhan is in Concert Choir, one of only four freshman selected for this choir.

Here are some photos and even a video clip! Something new for me...with my fancy new camera. But I'm still getting used to it so the video is a little bumpy.
